Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland (Report)

The Convener (Gil Paterson)

I welcome everyone to the second meeting in 2011 of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. We have received apologies from Aileen Campbell—Alasdair Morgan is here as her committee substitute; welcome again—and Peter Peacock. We have also received apologies from Jim Hume, so we go straight to item 2.

Item 2 is consideration of a report that the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland laid before the Parliament, on the appointment of a Lord Commissioner of Justiciary to the Parole Board for Scotland. The background to the issue is set out in the report. If members have no comments, are we happy to note the report?

Members indicated agreement.
