I thank members for their attendance. Unfortunately, Karen Gillon cannot attend this afternoon, so I have been asked to convene the committee. I invite members to take item 2, on the Scottish Qualifications Authority Bill, in private. It is consideration of a draft report on stage 1 of the bill. Is that agreed?
I ask for the committee's agreement to take item 3, on the proposal for a committee bill, in private, as it concerns the drafting of such a bill.
I also ask the committee to agree to take item 4, on the purposes of education inquiry, in private, as it is consideration of a draft consultation paper. Is that agreed?
Guidance on the operation of committees advises that it is appropriate for a committee to meet in private to discuss draft committee reports. The committee will now move into private session.
