Motion without Notice

18:29

The Presiding Officer (Alison Johnstone)

::I am minded to accept a motion without notice, under rule 11.2.4 of standing orders, that decision time be brought forward to now. I invite the Minister for Parliamentary Business to move the motion.

Motion moved,

That, under Rule 11.2.4, Decision Time be brought forward to 6.29 pm.—[Graeme Dey]

Motion agreed to.

::On a point of order, Presiding Officer. Could you clarify whether the suspended member is allowed to vote?

The Presiding Officer

::The member will not vote, because the member has been asked to leave the chamber. The member is refusing to do so. The member was given every warning that I was very keen that he should remain and carry on joining in the day’s proceedings, but the member decided that that was not appropriate. It is extremely important that I protect the rights of all members equally across the chamber; therefore we cannot have on-going disruption.
