Business Motion

The first item of business today is consideration of motion S2M-33, in the name of Patricia Ferguson, on behalf of the Parliamentary Bureau, setting out today's business, which is the selection of the Parliament's nominee for First Minister.

I remind members that if the motion is agreed to, nominations for the election will close and that under rule 4.1.3 of the standing orders a period of 30 minutes must elapse between the closure of nominations and the commencement of the voting period for the selection of the nominee.

I ask any member who wishes to speak against the motion to press their request-to-speak button now.
