Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am the oldest member of the committee.

It must have been a close-run thing.

I am relieved that there is somebody older than I am.

It therefore falls to me to start in the chair before handing it over to someone more able. We are in public session, and I ask everyone with mobile phones and pagers to turn all the noises off.
