Item 2 is consideration of responses from the Scottish Executive, Highland NHS Board and Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board in relation to the section 22 reports on the 2005-06 accounts of Highland NHS Board and Argyll and Clyde NHS Board. Members have various papers before them. It is my view—for what it is worth—that while many of these matters are important, they might be picked up in the audit process and monitored that way. I invite the Auditor General to make any comments to the committee.
Thank you, convener. We are keeping the matters under review in the audit of the current financial year, which will be reported on later in 2007. I have had informal conversations, particularly with Tom Divers of Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board, and I am conscious of the amount of serious work that is going on in the area. It will be appropriate to report the final numbers as part of the audit later in the year.
There being no further points, I suggest that the committee notes the responses. Is that agreed?
