Item in Private

The Convener (Sarah Boyack):

Good morning. We do not have the whole committee here, but I do not have any apologies and I do not know how long I would have to wait until everybody turned up. We have a full agenda this morning so my view is that we should crack on and colleagues can catch up when they arrive.

I welcome the members who have arrived, the press, members of the public and the huge ministerial team that I can see at the back.

Under agenda item 1, I seek the committee's permission to take item 6 in private. Item 6 is on my paper on climate change and I seek to take it in private because we will discuss potential witnesses and the order in which to take them. Are colleagues happy with that?

Members indicated agreement.

We will ensure that what we agree is minuted and put on the web so that interest groups and members of the public can see exactly what the work will involve.
