Decision on Taking Business in Private

The Convener (Margaret Mitchell)

Good morning and welcome to the second meeting in 2017 of the Justice Committee. We have received apologies from John Finnie. We are joined in the public gallery by the Speaker of the New Zealand Parliament, the Rt Hon David Carter MP, and we are very pleased to have him with us this morning.

Agenda item 1 is a decision whether to take item 6 in private. The item is consideration of written evidence on the legislative consent motion on the Criminal Finances Bill, which is United Kingdom Parliament legislation. Do members agree to take that item in private?

Members indicated agreement.
