Official Report 569KB pdf
Agenda item 5 is consideration of a supplementary legislative consent memorandum on the Sporting Events Bill. As members will see from paper 5, timing is tight for scrutiny of the third supplementary LCM. The committee previously took evidence on the original LCM and the first two supplementary LCMs, and, in our report, we recommended that the Parliament should agree to the Government’s motion giving consent.
As members have no comments on the third supplementary LCM, is the committee content to again recommend that the Parliament agree to the Scottish Government’s draft motion giving consent?
Members indicated agreement.
Are members also content to delegate authority to me, as convener, to approve a short factual report on the supplementary LCM?
Members indicated agreement.
That concludes our business in public. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 3 November, when we will consider a legislative consent memorandum on the Commercial Payments Bill and the committee’s work programme.
12:00
Meeting continued in private until 12:26.
