Decision on Taking Business in Private

Welcome to the second meeting of the Welfare Reform Committee in 2014. I ask everyone to ensure that their mobile phones and other electronic devices are switched off.

Agenda item 1 is to decide whether to take items 3 and 5 in private—we have already agreed to take item 4 in private—so do members agree to do that?

Members indicated agreement.

Our second item should be consideration of petition PE1496. Unfortunately, the petitioner has had travel problems this morning, but he is on his way. We have items on our agenda with which we can continue in the meantime. However, to do that we will have immediately to go into private session. We will open up the meeting to the public again when the petitioner arrives. Do members agree to do that?
