Interests

I welcome everyone to the second meeting of the Finance Committee in the third session of the Scottish Parliament and ask all those with mobile phones and pagers to turn them off.

Moving to agenda item 1, I ask Tom McCabe and Alex Neil, who were unable to attend last week's meeting, to declare any interests that are relevant to the committee.

I have no registrable interests other than those that I have declared in the register of members' interests.

I, too, have nothing to declare other than what is in the register. However, I believe that my entry is being updated, because I have recently been appointed to the board of the Scottish Parliament and Business Exchange. I am also on the boards of Scotland's Futures Forum and the Scotland Funds, both of which are not for profit.

That is appreciated.

As agreed last week, we will now move into private for item 2, which is our discussion of potential candidates for the position of budget adviser to the committee.
