Assigned Colleges (Scotland) Order 2014 (SSI 2014/80)

We come to agenda item 4. The meaning of the transitional provision in article 3 could be clearer in that it would have been clearer to have referred to schedule 2B to the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005 rather than just to schedule 2B to the 2005 act. In particular, it would have been clearer to have referred to the short title of the act instead of abbreviating it, given that there is only one reference to the act in the operative provisions of the order.

Does the committee therefore agree to draw the order to the attention of the Parliament on the committee’s reporting ground (h), as the meaning of the transitional provision in article 3 could be clearer?
