Decision on Taking Business in Private

Good morning and welcome to the 24th meeting in 2015 of the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee. As always, I ask members to switch off their mobile phones. I inform the committee that Richard Baker has rejoined the committee in place of Margaret McCulloch. However, he has sent his apologies for being unable to attend this meeting, so I welcome James Kelly in his capacity as substitute.

Agenda item 1 is a decision on taking business in private. Do members agree to take in private items 8 and 9 to allow us to consider the evidence that we will receive on the draft Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2015 and the Succession (Scotland) Bill, to which we are just about to turn?
