Work Programme

The Convener

Item 3 is about the committee’s work programme. Members will have seen that the clerks have laid out a draft programme for us, which I think is in good order. It proposes that we take oral evidence on 8 and 15 November; that we have a formal debate on the Deputy First Minister’s motion on 15 November; and that we consider the draft report on 22 November and, if required, at a further meeting on 29 November, with the report being published by 30 November.

Members are asked to note the overall timetable, to agree to limit the formal debate on the DFM’s motion to 30 minutes on 15 November, and to agree to meet at an earlier time on 8 and 15 November, if required. Are members agreed on that? Are members also content to leave the decision about the meeting start times to myself and the clerks depending on where we get to with the arrangements for witnesses?

Members indicated agreement.

The Convener

If no members have any other comments, we will move to agenda item 4, which is discussion of our work programme and potential witnesses. We decided to take that item in private, so the committee’s public business is now concluded.

10:03 Meeting continued in private until 10:20.
