Decision on Taking Business in Private
Good morning. I welcome everyone to the 10th meeting this year of the Rural Affairs and Environment Committee. I ask everyone to turn off their mobile phones and pagers because they impact on the broadcasting system. Apologies have been received from Karen Gillon, who is a long-term absentee from the committee because she is on maternity leave. Rhoda Grant is substituting for her.
The main purpose of the public part of today's meeting is to take evidence on the pig industry. Later, the committee will consider in private its work programme and draft report on rural housing. Item 1 is therefore to consider whether to take agenda items 4 and 5 in private. Do we agree to take those items in private?
Members indicated agreement.
