Official Report 237KB pdf
The first petition comes, once again, from Frank Harvey—I must meet that man. It calls on the Scottish Parliament to stop all Scottish housing associations from using unemployed young people to do the work of the cleansing department of Glasgow City Council. Are there any comments?
Why do not we simply accept the recommendation, which is to note the petition?
Is that agreed?
The next group of petitions is from a range of tenants' federations on the moratorium on housing stock transfers. We have dealt with that issue a number of times and our policy is quite clear.
Again, we should accept the clerk's recommendation. The issue will be dealt with in our final report on stock transfers.
A whole stack of such petitions is coming in now. We should include them all in our inquiry.
Is the recommendation agreed?
Meeting continued in private until 12:36.
