Item in Private

I welcome members to the sixth meeting of the committee in 2005. The first item is to decide whether to take item 2 in private. Do I have members' agreement?

I do not think that we should take the item in private but I will not make a big issue of it if other members think otherwise.

I am fairly indifferent.

The advice that we have been given is that the item would be better dealt with in private, not to hide what is going on, but so that we can deal with the members' interests bill appropriately. Are members agreed?

Members indicated agreement.
