Decision on Taking Business in Private

I formally open the meeting. I remind everyone to switch off or at least put their mobile phones into a mode that will not interfere with the sound system.

Apologies have been received from Tavish Scott and Linda Fabiani. Bill Kidd is attending in Linda’s place as the Scottish National Party substitute. Annabel Goldie will join us later.

Agenda item 1 is simply to decide whether to take in private the main business under item 2, which is a discussion of the committee’s work programme. Do members agree to do so?
