Good morning and welcome to the seventh meeting of the Public Petitions Committee in 2004. As usual, we have a busy agenda. As regards item 1, the fact that the new member has sent his apologies means that he cannot make a declaration of interests, so we will move straight to item 2. The committee is invited to take consideration of item 5 in private, as it relates to a paper from the clerk on procedural issues. Do members agree to do that?
