Good morning, everyone. Welcome to the second meeting in 2004 of the Justice 1 Committee. I ask members to do the usual and to switch off their mobile phones. I welcome formally our adviser, Christopher Gane, to the committee.

I ask the committee to agree that at future meetings we meet in private to discuss the content of the stage 1 report on the Criminal Procedure (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill. Is that agreed?
