1st Meeting, 2026
Members of the Committee were invited to declare any relevant interests. Zen Ghani declared an interest as an elected member of Glasgow City Council. Lloyd Melville declared an interest as an elected member of Angus Council and an honorary member of Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce. Other members said that they had no relevant interests to declare.
The Committee chose Lloyd Melville as Deputy Convener.
The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.
The Committee agreed its work programme and agreed (1) to hold an initial evidence session on 24 June 2026; 2) to hold a business planning day in August 2026; and (3) topics for evidence sessions in September 2026. The Committee agreed to delegate final agreement of arrangements for these sessions to the Convener.
The Committee also agreed to note the legacy report of the Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee.
The Committee also agreed that the following items will be taken in private at future meeitngs—
