The Committee considered the evidence it heard at its meeting on 16 December 2025.
The Committee considered an approach to the scrutiny of the proposed legislation. A draft call for written evidence was agreed to, and the Committee agreed to take oral evidence from representatives of local government and the tourism industry. The Committee agreed to delegate responsibility to the Convener to finalise the call for views and the witnesses for oral evidence following confirmation of whether the Committee would be the Stage 1 lead committee.
The Committee agreed to pilot a newsletter.
