1. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument—

Red Rocks and Longay Urgent Marine Conservation (No. 2) Order 2021 (Urgent Continuation) Order 2022 (SSI 2022/39).

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument. The Committee also agreed to write to the Scottish Government seeking further information.

2. UK subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered a proposal by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating using the powers under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 in relation to the following UK statutory instrument—

Organics (Derogations) (Amendment) Regulations 2022.

The Committee agreed that the provisions set out in the notification should be included in the UK SI. The Committee also agreed to write to the Scottish Government seeking further information.

3. Good Food Nation (Scotland) Bill (In Private):

The Committee considered a draft Stage 1 report. Various changes were proposed and decided upon (one by division), and the report was agreed.
