1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take agenda items 4, 5, 6 and 7 in private.


2. Improving care experience: Delivering The Promise:

The Committee took evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Mark MacPherson, Audit Director and Claire Tennyson, Audit Manager, Audit Scotland;

Andrew Burns, Deputy Chair, Accounts Commission.


3. Adult Disability Payment:

The Committee took evidence from—

Edel Harris OBE, Former Chair, Independent Review of Adult Disability Payment.


4. Adult Disability Payment (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda item 3 and took further evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Anna Nash, Audit Officer, Audit Scotland.


5. Improving care experience: Delivering The Promise (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard at agenda item 2 and took further evidence from—

6. Improving care experience: Delivering The Promise (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard at agenda items 2 and 5 and agreed to invite the Scottish Government, the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA), The Promise Scotland and the Chair of the Oversight Board for Keeping the Promise to give oral evidence at a future meeting and also agreed to write to the Independent Strategic Adviser for the Promise.                                                                                                                                           


7. Adult Disability Payment (In Private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard at agenda items 3 and 4 and agreed its next steps.
