Background
On 5 June 2023, the Auditor General for Scotland published the 2021/22 audit of South Lanarkshire College.
The report says:
"In their annual audit report on the college for 2021/22, the independent auditor found that the college had fully implemented two of the five recommendations in the auditor’s annual audit report on 2020/21 and mostly implemented a further two. The auditor concluded that the college has governance arrangements which provide appropriate scrutiny of decisions made by its board."

Decision: The Committee agreed to write to South Lanarkshire College and close its scrutiny of the 2020/21 audit of South Lanarkshire College.
Decision: At its meeting on 14 September 2023 the Committee noted correspondence received from the Principal and Chief Executive of South Lanarkshire College and agreed its approach to the handling of additional correspondence received.
