The Committee agreed to take items 5 and 6 in private.

2. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Climate Change (Local Development Plan) (Repeals) (Scotland) Order 2025 [draft] from—

Ivan McKee, Minister for Public Finance,  and Adam Henry, Senior Planner, Scottish Government.

3. Subordinate legislation:

Ivan McKee, Minister for Public Finance, moved—

S6M-18057— That the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee recommends that the Climate Change (Local Development Plan) (Repeals) (Scotland) Order 2025 [draft] be approved.

The motion was agreed to.

4. Pre-Budget Scrutiny:

The Committee took evidence as part of its Pre-Budget Scrutiny from—

Andrew Burns, Deputy Chair,  and Derek Yule, Commission Member, Accounts Commission;

Blyth Deans, Audit Director, Performance Audit and Best Value,  and Martin McLauchlan, Senior Manager, Performance Audit and Best Value, Audit Scotland.

5. Pre-Budget Scrutiny (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.

6. Building Safety and Maintenance (in private):

The Committee agreed to defer the consideration of a draft letter to the Cabinet Secretary for Housing to its next meeting.

The Committee also agreed to invite the Cabinet Secretary for Housing to give evidence on her priorities in her new role and the Cladding Remediation Programme: Next Phase Plan of Action at a future meeting.
