1. Decisions on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 3, 4, 5 and 6 in private.


2. Cabinet Secretary for Housing: portfolio priorities and progress on the Scottish Government’s cladding remediation programme:

The Committee took evidence from—

Màiri McAllan, Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Matthew Elsby, Deputy Director, Better Homes, Stephen Lea-Ross, Director, Cladding Remediation, and Jess Niven, Interim Deputy Director, Heat in Buildings Policy and Regulation, Scottish Government.


3. Cabinet Secretary for Housing: portfolio priorities and progress on the Scottish Government’s cladding remediation programme (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


4. Work programme (in private):

The Committee considered its work programme and agreed to consider a draft of its annual tracker report in private at a future meeting, to visit a heat network, a programme for an engagement event on heat in buildings related work and an approach to consideration of the Scottish Government's draft Climate Change Plan.


5. Pension Schemes Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (in private):

The Committee considered its approach to consideration of legislative consent memorandum LCM-S6-65. The Committee agreed to write to COSLA, the Scottish Public Pensions Agency and eleven regional fund managers that manage the funds of the Local Government Pension Scheme in Scotland.

Mark Griffin indicated he is a member of the Strathclyde Pension Fund.



6. Scottish Housing Regulator (in private):

The Committee agreed its approach to the scrutiny of the Scottish Housing Regulator and to write to the Regulator and to stakeholders ahead of its annual oral evidence session with the Regulator.
