Boundaries Regulations

Thank you for your letter of 4 October.

I note that you have expressed reservations about the Committee’s recommendations on the proposals for electoral wards for Highland and Argyll and Bute councils and on the evidence presented to the Committee in relation to those councils.

Notwithstanding those reservations I wish to thank you for your contribution to the Committee’s important scrutiny work in this area. We will be working closely with Boundaries Scotland throughout this Parliamentary session. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss how we can work together most effectively in future.

I will ask the clerks to the Committee to liaise with you to arrange a meeting.
