Letter from the Cabinet Secretary for Health & Social Care regarding mental health and wellbeing support for NHS Staff, 30 June 2021
Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to inform you of my recent announcement of a £8 million package for health and social care workforce wellbeing. The news release is included at the following link: £8 million package for health and social care workforce wellbeing - gov.scot (www.gov.scot)
This will help fund a number of immediate recovery actions to help meet practical and emotional needs, alongside more specialised mental health support where this is needed, supplementing the many excellent resources that are already available within organisations. This initial package will lead to the development of a National Wellbeing Programme to embed wellbeing into health and social care planning and delivery over the long-term.
