1 Declaration of interests:
Members of the Committee were invited to declare any relevant interests. The following interests were declared—
Maggie Chapman declared she is currently employed with Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre until 30 June 2021.
Pam Duncan-Glancy declared she was employed with Public Health Scotland until 11 May 2021. She also declared that she served on the Board of Engender Scotland for three years and previously worked as a Policy Officer for Inclusion Scotland from 2009 to 2015.
Fulton MacGregor declared he was a registered social worker with the Scottish Social Services Council. He was a practising social worker prior to his election in 2016 and has maintained his registration since then.
2 Choice of Convener:
The Committee chose Joe FitzPatrick as its Convener.
3 Choice of Deputy Convener:
The Committee chose Maggie Chapman as its Deputy Convener.
4 Decision of taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take item 5 in private.
