The Committee has an ongoing remit to scrutinise how the Scottish Government manages its investments in private enterprises. In particular, Glasgow Prestwick Airport and Ferguson Marine Port Glasgow (FMPG).
In November 2013, the Scottish Government bought Glasgow Prestwick Airport. In December 2019, the Scottish Government bought FMPG. Both interventions were intended to preserve jobs and strategic economic assets.
