1 National Care Service (Scotland) Bill :
The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—
Kevin Stewart, Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care and Catriona Dalrymple, Deputy Director, Community Justice, Scottish Government.
2 Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill (UK Parliament legislation):
The Committee considered the legislative consent memorandum lodged by Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans (LCM(S6)27). Six members of the Committee (Audrey Nicoll, Collette Stevenson, Fulton MacGregor, Rona Mackay, Pauline McNeill and Katy Clark) agreed with the Scottish Government that the Scottish Parliament should not consent to the relevant provisions in this Bill as set out in the Scottish Government’s draft motion and 2 did not (Jamie Greene and Russell Findlay).
3 Priorities in the Justice Sector and an Action Plan:
The Committee agreed to defer consideration of progress made on implementing the recommendations in its report on the priorities for the criminal justice sector in Scotland to a future meeting.
4 National Care Service (Scotland) Bill(In Private):
The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 1.
