Advisory Audit Board

The Advisory Audit Board (AAB) gives advice to the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB) and the Clerk/Chief Executive on how the organisation is managed.

Its advice is based on:

• reports from internal and external auditors
• SPCB annual reports and accounts
• financial policies and management practices set by the Senior Executive Team
• compliance with legal matters, where relevant to its work.

The AAB currently has 5 members. Three are independent external members, for objectivity, and 1 is from the SPCB:

• Joe Al-Gharabally (Chair)
• Maggie Chapman MSP (SPCB Member)
• Steve Renwick
• Siobhan White
