Because of those factors, there has long been a feeling that it would be appropriate to have a museum that celebrates the history of Leith.I do not have time to summarise Leith's history today, but I can say that many important events in Scottish history have taken place in Leith—the arrival of Mary Queen of Scots there in 1561 springs to mind.
