This is part of a wider and very serious issue in the aftermath of foot-and-mouth disease and BSE. Adam Ingram may be able to confirm that, in Glasgow, the situation with ash relates not to foot-and-mouth carcases but entirely to cattle at official high risk of BSE.

Since we may consider the draft report that the clerks are preparing on the euro after the summer recess, might the report from the Commission be one that the committee should examine to get background information?
