It establishes a licensing scheme for short-term lets, defining the activity to be licensed as the use of accommodation for a short-term let on or after 1 April 2022. This means that the licensing scheme is operational across Scotland from 1 April 2022 and licensing authorities will need to have a scheme open to receive applications from that date.
