By bringing together a range of partners with co-ordination through our networks, we can provide support and services ranging from cash—on occasion—to partners, people to work with and advice and support.
In the past two years, through activity arrangements that have been co-ordinated and supported by YouthLink, local authorities have helped more than 7,000 young people into positive destinations.
We know that some areas have used the funding to appoint some co-ordinators to pull partners together to start their action planning and understand how well things are working on the ground, what gaps there might be and what actions might be taken.
It is getting easier, because when people come to Scotland, they deal with one police force. We have a much more co-ordinated picture of what is happening in Scotland.
