At stage 2, given that I had—and still have, to some degree—real sympathy for the concerns of those who adopt Mr Dailly’s argument, I lodged amendment 227 and 77 consequential amendments, the effect of which would have been to limit to 25 per cent non-solicitor ownership of a law firm.
