Indeed, a number of them have come together to form the lowland canals volunteer group to co-ordinate activity and maximise opportunities and I would encourage anyone with an interest to get involved with it.Scottish Canals and the Scottish Waterways Trust are also fully aware of the potential of volunteering on the canal system.
