To ask the Scottish Executive why the Health Technology Board for Scotland has not carried out a Health Technology Assessment on the results of the recently completed NHS pilot studies on liquid-based cytology for cervical screening programmes. I refer the member to the answer given to question S1W-19038.
We are pursuing this through a range of policies and programmes, including those embraced in our strategy for the Enterprise Network, A Smart, Successful Scotland.

To ask the Scottish Executive what ongoing involvement the Scottish Environment Protection Agency has in relation to the environmental monitoring programme conducted by the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency into the impact of depleted uranium shells in the Solway Firth.
It is expected that the Scottish Needs Assessment Programme report on hepatitis C, including prevention, will be published in the summer, when the Executive will give its conclusions urgent consideration.

There are no plans to expand the current teaching of Scottish history which is covered within the 5-14 curriculum guidelines, at Standard Grade and within the Higher Still programme. S1W-02598
