To ask the Scottish Executive whether the number of pilot schemes under the Diversion from Prosecution to Social Work and other Service Agencies pilot programme will be increased. I refer Mr Paterson to the answer I gave to question S1W-8043 on 31 August 2000.
The threshold is set at 15 days because that is the period during which one can do a basic assessment of the needs of the prisoner and build a programme to assist with their rehabilitation, thus serving the purposes that are set out in the bill, to which I referred.
There are various organisations that deliver outdoor education or programmes to help people. The Prince's Trust, Fairbridge, Barnardo's and others have good programmes to help people to develop their self-confidence.
Paragraph 2.3 of "The Relocation Guide" says:"Ministers have established a fund to assist with initial start-up and accommodation costs".How much is in that fund?
