All of those things need to operate in alignment for consumers to get the best out of the bill. Therefore, although it is a framework bill, the things that come under it will be just as important as the bill itself.
Marsha Scott can add a brief comment. I will do my best to be brief. I was in the Parliament building yesterday morning to give evidence on the regulation of legal services.
That consultation is, in my view, the best vehicle for a proper examination of all the issues, and I am happy to reassure members of the committee that the consultation will explore the issue of fee exemptions.
We will consider the evidence afresh and decide how best to take forward the petition. Before we draw to a conclusion, is there anything further that you would like to say?
We have a responsibility to enable women to make the best-informed choices with regard to that and to make the process clear, open and helpful so that they can make the best decisions.
