Neurodivergence in Scotland - Diagnosis and the workplace
Members were alarmed by the stories of discrimination in the workplace that were shared with them.
A diagnosis should not be a pre-requisite for support in the workplace, but at the same time, the evidence the Committee received emphasised the importance of getting a diagnosis.

Report on pre-budget scrutiny 2026-27: responding to long-term fiscal pressures - Labour market data
We explored this issue further during pre-budget scrutiny.
The SFC told us that the LFS should provide “really rich data” on employment, unemployment, and the drivers for economic inactivity, however, “the problem at the moment is that the data is just not fit for purpose, [and] we cannot trust it”.
