To ask the Scottish Executive how much money has been invested by Scottish Enterprise Ayrshire in Kilmarnock and Loudoun since May 1999. This is an operational matter for Scottish Enterprise and I have asked the chairman to reply.

The latest published statistics (from May 1998) show 476 schools which were eligible to have a school board did not. 95 schools in Scotland were not eligible to have a school board.
To ask the Scottish Executive how many meetings of the EU Council of Ministers will Scottish Ministers be attending over the next six months. Scottish Ministers may attend EU Council meetings, where appropriate, as part of the UK delegation.
The act of uncovering abuse and protecting individuals does not of itself determine whether there will be a criminal investigation—there may or may not be such an investigation, depending on the evidence that is uncovered.
That is incredibly confusing. We are worried that our members may inadvertently breach the law. They may think that they need only one witness when they need two.
There is a difficulty in that respect because in our system tribunals may not act judicially: they may not act as courts, because that would be unconstitutional; they may have only an administrative function.
That the Parliament agrees that between 8 January 2005 and 2 September 2005, the Office of the Clerk shall be open all days except: Saturdays and Sundays, 25 and 28 March, and 2, 27 and 30 May 2005.
