To ask the Scottish Executive what progress is being made in connecting all Scottish schools to the Internet. Between May 1998 and October 1999 the percentage of Scottish primary schools with Internet access rose from 22% to 49%, and the percentage of Scottish secondary schools with Internet access rose from 73% to 97%.

According to information providedto the Executive by education authorities in May 2006, the following non-Europeanlanguages are taught in Scottish schools: Latin; Urdu; Hebrew; Cantonese; Bengali;Chinese; Punjabi; Parsi; Arabic, and Japanese.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has taken any legal advice in light of the comments made by Lord Steyn that ministers may be guilty of war crimes if it is subsequently established that they were aware of CIA-operated rendition flights through Scottish airports.
