On jobs, the Edinburgh Airport Ltd study found that if a 50 per cent cut were in place, over five years we could be looking at an extra 3,800 jobs, 900,000 extra passengers and £200 million more for the Scottish economy.
They have said that issue of increased flights to and from Scotland should be viewed in that worldwide context, because the flights are not extra flights; they are simply flights that are going to Scotland rather than to some international destination.
