The Scottish Executive is not directly involved in those initiatives, which are the responsibility of the transport operators. I share Christine May's disgust and concern at the type of incidents that she describes and I very much welcome the work that is being done by ScotRail in issuing swab kits.

NHS Highland has tried to get more such facilities into local communities, although I am not aware of the decision that may have been made today. NHS Highland has received an increase in funding of almost 9 per cent this year and will receive an increase of between 8 per cent and 9 per cent next year.
