Let me read out what the ministerial code of conduct says: “It is of paramount importance that Ministers give accurate and truthful information to the Parliament, correcting any inadvertent error at the earliest opportunity.”
It explains that the increase in fees is most acute in the further education sector due to the size of the organisations and the baseline cost required to deliver a code compliant audit (i.e. with the code of audit practice).

To ask the Scottish Government how many additional letters it expects will be issued monthly by NHS boards because of the new rules for applying social unavailability codes. The information requested is not available centrally.

I imagine that there will be no conflict in that regard and that we will be going in the same direction.It might be useful to say that when I was a councillor I was suspended for nine months for breaching the code of conduct for councillors. I can expand on that if anyone wants to know more.
