During the Committee's evidence session on inequalities in female sport on 23 May 2023, Lynne Glen from Scottish Disability Sport emphasised the importance of listening to disabled women and girls who want to participate in sport and physical activity in order to understand their needs:
We need to get to a place where we listen, hear the voices of young people and use more imagery and more explicit language around encouraging young females to participate in physical activity and sport.
