As an addition to the list of recommended witnesses in paragraph 17, we ought to write to the health boards to allow them to offer input and explain what they do. Some health boards may work with other boards, but we would miss that in the trawl.
In a response to the Equal Opportunities Committee dated 7 May, the Executive stated:"the Justice Department had agreed to consider whether it would be useful to commission new research on possible links between pornography and violence against women.

The Government does not run the venues for those other organisations. That is right. The Executive may not be able to support a national dance hall because of the commercial viability aspect, but where does ballroom dancing fit into other aspects of culture in Scotland?
I have decided that we will not have a meeting on 4 May. We have pencilled in a meeting for the morning of Thursday 13 May, but that is dependent on the details that the business bureau might issue about our overall parliamentary work programme for that week.
